Finishing iValue: React Native stock research and valuation for iOS and Android

Orpheus took over iValue, a partially completed React Native mobile application for iOS and Android, finished its development and delivered it to both app stores for Kerry Bell. The product combined stock research with discounted cash flow valuation, financial statements, favorite stocks, financial calculators and real-estate valuation tools. Orpheus development ran from December 2021 through May 2023; the apps were removed from the stores at the client's request in April 2024.

A completed historical engagement: Orpheus took over iValue, a partially completed React Native app for iOS and Android, finished it for client Kerry Bell, and delivered it to the App Store and Google Play. The apps were later removed from both stores at the client's request in April 2024 and are no longer available.

Orpheus took over the unfinished app in December 2021. The first job was to learn its existing architecture and discounted cash flow valuation models, stop the crashes, and get the valuation logic working correctly. By late January 2022 it was running again in the iOS simulator.

Over the next year and a half Orpheus finished the product. The work added an in-app tutorial, in-app subscriptions, new custom calculators for additional valuation types, real-estate valuation, and financial statement views. The finished app covered stock search and research, discounted cash flow valuation, balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow views, profitability, solvency, and relative-valuation screens, favorite stocks, a searchable glossary, tutorials, account management, and subscriptions.

Orpheus shipped the app to the Apple App Store and Google Play, handled store administration, and hosted the product's WordPress site with server-level security monitoring. Orpheus development ended in May 2023. In April 2024 the apps were removed from both stores at the client's request.
